No Other Land premieres in Danish cinemas 21 November

Yuval is Israeli. Basel is Palestinian. Can their alliance change the future?

The winner of the 2024 CPH:DOX Audience Award will screen in cinemas across Denmark starting 21 November. No Other Land portrays how a precarious alliance forms when an Israeli journalist meets a young Palestinian activist who is fighting against the control and forced displacement happening in the Masafer Yatta region in the West Bank.

The film ties together the threads of the long-standing conflict between Palestinians and Israeli settlers in the West Bank, while also providing the testimony and stories of the people who are trapped in the middle of the conflict. It also provides an important preliminary account of what has happened in the West Bank since 7 October.

No Other Land has already garnered countless great (and deserved) reviews in media outlets around the world. It has also courted controversy, including when the directors expressed a wish to see a ceasefire in Gaza during their acceptance speech at the Berlinale, leading to harsh criticisms from the mayor of Berlin and the German minister for culture.

“This is a film and a story that deserves to be seen by everyone. We are enormously proud to be able to help the films’ creators present it to even more people in Denmark. They need all the support they can get from both us and the public,” says Niklas Engstrøm, the Artistic Director of CPH:DOX.

No Other Land is presented in collaboration with IMS and CPH:DOX.
